Britney Spears shaves her head? Oh my gosh, I just heard Britney Spears has shaved her head! What do you think of her new bald look? http://www.tmz.com/2007/02/17/britney-shaves-her-fand-ing-head/
Who do you think is going to shave their head now that Britney Spears did? **I posted this again to get more responses since the first one got bumped to page 2!!! :-) ** Honestly, I'm guessing that there will be a lot of girls out there who start shaving their heads or getting REALLY short haircuts just to be liberated -- not so much BECAUSE Britney Spears did it, but I think that her doing it will spark some sort of widespread reaction. What do ya'll think? (LOL, I threw the ya'll in there as a tribute to Britney!) For those of you who haven't heard yet, these are the pictures/videos of her shaving her head (she did it herself and then followed up by getting a tattoo!!!!): http://www.tmz.com/2007/02/17/britney-shaves-her-fand-ing-head/ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f9_oaKYFM0c They did answer, 28 times, but since this is such a busy category, I thought that new people may still be interested in answering! :-)

Britney Spears "scantily clad" scaring children at an elementary school today? I saw a story earlier while surfing about Britney wandering into an elementary school and supposedly telling them she was there to pick up her children, then changed it to she was there to pick up someone else's children, then she left alone. Has anyone else seen this story? I don't know where I saw it. I thought TMZ.com would have picked it up - but nothing. Maybe someone made it up. Links anyone?

Are we being alittle harsh on Britney Spears? Sure the dancing was a mess, but she looked pretty hot for a mother of two. Sure, Kate Hudson looks better. Nobody is perfect, and she never attacked me.. http://www.blogsmithmedia.com/www.tmz.com/media/2007/09/0910_britney_vma_getty.jpg
Can you believe the paps even follow Britney INTO church? For crying out loud, who can blame the poor soul for seeking refuge in a church? I feel so sorry for her. And before you start slagging off at me for supporting her please remember she is a young mother clearly in distress, whether or not she brought it on herself she still needs and diserves HELP! Britney and the Reagans Have Church in Common! Posted Jan 14th 2008 5:53PM by TMZ Staff Britney Spears made a pit stop at the Little Brown Church in the San Fernando Valley this afternoon -- but no, she wasn't planning a wedding. A church rep tells TMZ that the historic chapel is open 24/7 365 for anyone "who wants to go in and pray." We're told Britney walked into the church- followed by a throng of paparazzi. So much for peace and quiet! We're told that she was not there to plan a wedding or ceremony of any kind, she just walked in, sat down and walked out. And in case you were wondering, Ronald and Nancy Reagan were married in that church on March 4, 1952
Why does britney spears speak with an accent?? I've seen her on many vids on TMZ speak with an english\british accent. what is that all about? please don't give me silly answers, i'm sure she has a reason for it that's been talked over the net, I just can't seem to find what it is. serious answers please.
Britney Spears tell a paparazzo to go back to Mexico? Its the video in which she appearently steals a lighter. When she is going to get back in her car she says "go back to Mexico" and the paparazzo says "go back to where". Tell me if you hear this also? http://www.tmz.com/tmz_main_video?titleid=1336657152

Does anyone know what drugs Britney Spears was on? Was it meth? The reporter at TMZ.com said that he knows from his sources that it is definitley a substance abuse situation, but would not say what that substance is. And anyone who knows anything about addiction knows that what the person uses does contribute to their behavior and how fast and hard they go down-thia ia to the one who wrote z'who cares?"

Why should we leave Britney Spears and co. alone? She is a celebrity. If she wanted to keep herself to herself she would do so. She wouldn't go out driving with the top down, she would send someone to pick up or deliver her lattes, she wouldn't have shaved her head in front of the world to see, she wouldn't according to TMZ's court documents change her outfits multiple times a day, she wouldn't go out wearing no panties, her sister wouldn't have sold her pregnancy story to a magazine etc. It's laughable that people want to protect her like she knows them. If she wanted privacy she wouldn't have done some of the many things she has done in public. It ain't hard for her to keep her head down sort herself out and get help - but she doesn't want it she wants attention! I just can't take all of the stupid stans who actually think she doesn't know what she's doing. Telescope - I didn't say lets all b*tch about her and her family. But if people wanna talk about her, let them. She is a public figure who puts herself out there, and sure if she layed low, we'd still hear about her, but I guarantee it would be a lot less.
Did you hear that Britney has lost custody of her kids? Britney Spears has temporarily lost custody of sons Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1. In a closed-door hearing today (Oct. 1), a judge ordered her to hand over the children to ex-husband Kevin Federline by Wednesday at noon "until further notice of the court," reports People. Though the judge didn't elaborate on his sudden decision to overturn the couple's 50/50 custody agreement, Federline's attorney, Mark Kaplan, reportedly requested the last-minute hearing after Spears was photographed driving her two sons around Los Angeles this weekend, even though she doesn't have a license, reports E! News. Despite getting charged with driving without a valid California license last month -- as well as hit-and-run -- the puzzled pop tart continues to get behind the wheel. Her Louisiana license reportedly expired long ago, while a DMV official tells TMZ.com, "At this point, Britney Spears does not have a valid California driver's license. She has an application pending that she never completed." Meanwhile, if convicted of her misdemeanor driving charges, she could face up to six months in jail. http://www.people.com/people/article/0,,20082170,00.html
Does anyone else think TMZ is a little too stalker-ish? Especially the way they follow Britney Spears around...? Cameras are literally like 1 inch away from her face and paparazzi like...stop people from driving or even walking...I actually am wondering if people really enjoy watching celebrities get treated like this, 'cause I think it's disturbing. And I don't know about you...but that treatment would make me claustrophobic. TMZ says they use "stalkerazzi" techniques, but only to meet consumer demand. I don't think us as "consumers" like seeing these people being chased and harassed simply because they're who they are.
Did you hear that Jamie Lynn Spears sold her pregnancy for 1 million dollars? Can that family get anymore trashier? Jamie Lynn Spears confirmed her pregnancy to OK! Magazine while being interviewed with her mother and is receiving no compensation – yet. The magazine has agreed to pay $1 million for a photo shoot when the baby is born which will be sooner than people think. Supposedly Jamie Lynn is more than 12 weeks pregnant. But why choose OK! and not another tabloid? Apparently it has to do with Britney having a breakdown months ago during a photo shoot with the magazine, according to TMZ: Britney's mom, Lynne, read the article (who didn't?!) and called OK! personally to thank them "for handling it so well." She stayed in touch with OK!, and called them this week when she learned that news of Jamie's pregnancy was about to break. Her only requirement? Keep Britney out of it. This is about Jamie Lynn. "She trusted them to do it in a way that would be sympathetic to her daughter," our source says. It sounds like Lynne Spears is getting her head out of her
why is Fox news turning to the Britney news network? all Spears all the time with new partner gossip rag tmz Mz rachet or what ever. Im black but I dont go for that Black do do crap, you get your news from Huggy low down or something. take that What Black folk do crap and shove it up your AZZ! I'm Was down with Eazy E And 2 short Biotch So don't try me.
Jamie Lynn Spears, Which One Is True?? which story is true?? http://www.celebitchy.com/4895/jamie_lynn_spears_is_not_pregnant_received_contraceptive_advice_from_britney/ or... http://www.tmz.com/2007/12/18/jamie-lynn-spears-is-pregnant/
What do you think is the complete "waste of time" tv programming is right now? I have to say that show called, "TMZ" has to be way up there...this show comes on forget which channel, during the weekdays before the noon...you got Harvey Levin hosting the show, he has these young groupie producers/reporters roaming around Hollywood with camera men looking to capture celebrity sightings...John what do you have? I saw Britney Spears leaving this club late last night with corn dog with mustard in her right hand and some hot stud inside her car, side-swiping black Mercedes as she leaves the parking lot...i mean who cares? lol
Britney files for divorce (finally)? what does everyone think? is it about time or should they try harder to work things out for the sake of their two young children? Spears filed legal papers today in Los Angeles County Superior Court, citing "irreconcilable differences." In her petition, Spears asks for both legal and physical custody of the couple's two children, one-year old Sean Preston and two-month old Jayden James, with Federline getting reasonable visitation rights. As for money, sources tell TMZ the couple, who married in Sept. 2004, has an iron-clad prenup. Not surprisingly, Spears is waiving her right to spousal support. She's also asking the judge to make each party pay their own attorney's fees. Spears gives the date of separation as yesterday, the same day she flaunted her incredible revamped physique during a surprise appearance on David Letterman's show. Sources tell TMZ there was no single reason for Britney pulling the plug, rather, it was "a string of events." www.perezhilton.com this is now being reported on www.sky.com/news, www.yahoo.com and www.bbc.co.uk/news so I think it really is true here is a link to the court docs http://cdn.digitalcity.com/tmz_documents/110706_spears_petition_1.pdf
help on essay about celebrity role models...10 pts!!? i need help with revising the second paragraph most. THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!!! Should Celebrities and Athletes take Responsibility in Being a Role Model? Why are there so many athletes and celebrities these days failing as role models? Should they bear any responsibility at all for being role models to society? After all, they are the people whom we look up to; especially children and young adults. At some point of our lives, (no matter how old) we have had some kind of role model, for most it was a celebrity or sports figure; a role model was anyone appealing. Now the sad thing is in today’s society, we put way too much emphasis on these role models. We manipulate or adopt what we see like clothing, behavior, hairstyles, and actions; the media. In other words, Hollywood sets the norms, and society follows. This is one of the reasons why it is critical that celebrities and athletes need to recognize their impact upon the public. Children are always watching and observing adult behavior partly because adults are the ones who have answers to questions. While parents can control what children are exposed to, they cannot completely shield children from the onslaught of Hollywood trends that flash in front of their eyes: commercials, billboards, movies, and on tv. “I am a role model and if I don’t step up or stand up for the issues that are important to the people, then I take just as much to blame as a 50 cent or a Snoop Dogg.” Rapper KRS-One once said during a telephone interview (McKevie 1). There are those celebrities out there who are willing to take the consequences and responsibility of their actions, and KRS-One is one of the few. As I was growing up, I remember that the major celebrities of that time were people like Britney Spears. I used to idolize Britney Spears like many others, up until the time she started going downhill. Back in the late 90’s, she was famous for her beauty, singing, and personality. But now she is popular for the opposite; to have a laugh out of her because of the sluttyness, drugs, and divorce, etc. When a junior high student was asked what he thought of Spears now, this is what he said: “I used to like Britney Spears when I was younger…I mean, she shaved her head for Pete’s sake. What’s going on with her?” (McKevie 2). So, why is it that the media publicizes more of the negative side of Hollywood? I think it is because in reality, people tend to be more interested and engaged in the Hollywood scandals. Hence, it also makes a lot of money and brings in millions of viewers. For example, the TV show, “TMZ” exposes celebrities and athletes in reality, and shows the ugly side of the famous. When it first aired on the Internet in 2005, it had 120 plus viewers per month, (an additional 9 million compared to “Extra” and “Access Hollywood”) (FOX news 1).
Have you read this? The young star is in a fight for her life against mental illness. By Asra Q. Nomani February 12, 2008 I'll never forget the first time I saw my brother strapped to a gurney. I was just a teen, and he'd been diagnosed with schizo-affective disorder, an illness akin to schizophrenia that causes mood swings, psychosis and violent outbursts. Our family had just committed him for psychiatric treatment, and I wept, shouting into the air, "I want my brother back." At home, my parents sobbed. But at least we went through this anguish in private. So it's impossible for me to find any entertainment value in the public harassment of Britney Spears, who was released from the psychiatric ward of UCLA Medical Center last week. And as a journalist, I doubt there is news value in it either. Mental illness doesn't always elicit compassion; it's hard to see, so it's hard to understand. Perhaps in the wake of Spears' breakdown, California mental health advocates will lobby to change the state's involuntary commitment laws so that those who are sick get treatment, even if they don't realize how badly they need it. In the meantime, all of us should reflect on the fact that we wouldn't be so cruel to somebody diagnosed with another disease. Would we make a sideshow of someone with a brain tumor? It's easy to blame the paparazzi and celebrity gossip websites, and, granted, they are the worst. TMZ promoted a video of Spears crying with the headline, "Britney Spears on Suicide Watch?" Over a photo of Spears sitting on a curb after her fight with her manager, PerezHilton.com scrawled "Britwreck." But the mainstream media are complicit. After Spears' release (over the objection of her family), A.J. Hammer, host of CNN's "Showbiz Tonight," stumbled over the pronunciation of Spears' supposed medications; the words "Burning Britney Questions!" rolled across the bottom of the screen. "Britney's Mental Illness" was the cover of a recent People magazine. The Daily Telegraph's website featured this headline: "Mad Britney Spears detoxed by doctors," with a link, "See pictures of the drama here." By exploiting Spears' moment of vulnerability, media companies have crossed the line of basic moral decency. To me, this includes Wenner Media, owner of US Weekly and Rolling Stone, which just published an expose of Spears' mental illness, and even Barbara Walters, who recently reported on Spears' mental health issues on "The View." Enough. Time Warner Inc. (parent of CNN, People, AOL and Entertainment Weekly), News Corp. (the Rupert Murdoch firm that owns Fox News and papers around the globe) and others should halt all coverage of Spears until she is healthy. Let's leave Britney and her family alone. Responsible journalists long ago came to the ethical determination not to publish the names of rape victims or to air the most gruesome of terrorist videos. We can do the same here. We can get off this maniacal roller coaster that is Britney Spears coverage to remember one important fact: This is a 27-year-old in a fight for her life. My role model in this debate is photographer Nick Stern, who quit his job Feb. 1 with the Splash news agency because he couldn't stomach shooting the Spears story any longer. "It's not journalism. Sooner or later, someone's going to get killed," he told the Independent in London. "Possibly Britney herself." Even aspiring journalists are making the right call. At Georgetown University's School of Continuing Studies, where I'm a journalism professor, senior Erin Delmore walked off the set of a campus TV talk show. "I'm so done with the Britney coverage," she said. "End it." Last week, I wrote to my editor at People and told her that I couldn't continue working as a stringer for the magazine. I'm not being holier than thou. I wasn't always kind to my brother about his illness. I scolded and nagged him. I called him lazy when he didn't make his bed, unmotivated when he didn't get a job and uncaring when he forgot our birthdays. It's taken more than 20 years for me to understand, deep within my soul, that his mental illness is like a brain tumor, or cancer, or diabetes. It is a disease. It has symptoms such as anosognosia, which means that a person doesn't think they have an illness, and flat affect, which saps emotional expressiveness. Right now, there is no cure. When I realized not long ago how cruel I had been, I told my brother what I now tell Britney and her family: "I'm sorry."
Do the Paparazzi go to far for one stupid picture? Seems to me these days that the paparazzi are really pushing the limits just to get one stupid picture of a celebrity. A few weeks ago I was flipping thru the channels and happened upon TMZ doing a hulk hogan bit and right after that they showed a bunch paparazzi nuts running a red light in L.A. following Britney Spears. Then there was the Goerge Clooney and Julia Roberts incidents. Now they're putting other people at risk just to get the picture. When will the police step in and reign in the paparazzi. Is it going to take another Pricess Diana death? In my opinion even famous people have the right to Privacy even though they'll never know what that's like again.
Are paparazzi jealous and hateful towards the celebs they pursue, and want them to be angry? I've seen COUNTLESS of paparazzi on TV and on the internet, tmz, etc, of them pursuing celebs, taking their pics, and making comments. First off, they don't give a HOOT about the celeb themselves, their safety, mental health, etc, and only after a celeb REALLY breaks down like Britney Spears, one or TWO of them will help her while the rest think "yeahhhh B**ch goes down!' After seeing how the paparazzi act, and how obviously they're doing it for quick cash, they're cashing in on these celebs. Are they jealous and hateful towards the celebs, and even though they say things like I love you, you look wonderful, etc, they're just being sarcastic and lying through their teeth? Do they secretly want the celebs to fail and be angry, because they hate them for their success? Aside from the paparazzi, isn't this technically how much of the general public is as well? Towards each other AND towards celebrities? They seem to want to see them F*ck up. SAD Jealous haters. naughty naughty :-P
Why can’t they accept they’re fate? I’m talking about teen idols I am disgusted to say that I was watching TMZ the other day. They were doing a piece on Jesse McCartney on how he has lost his fame to the next generation teen idol I forget who it was. Anyways they’re all destined to become the “has-been”, “nobody”, or worst of all “who the hell is that”. Of course except for the handfull to manage to escape that fate, but i say that lightly because i can only think about very few. You have to also put into account the higher they climb the ladder of fame the harder they fall i.e Britney spears and Michael Jackson. Why can’t they simply gracefully fade into the background when they’ve reached they’re peak I can’t even imagine what’s in store for the most adored teen idol to date Miley Cyrus.
Hair weave and different races...? Why do some poeple on here make a big deal about a black woman wearing a weave but say nothing about other races? Do you people realize how many women of all races wear extensions??? http://www.blogsmithmedia.com/www.tmz.com/media/2007/10/1011_britney_spears_ext_pcn.jpg http://www.hairextensions.com/jessicasimpson.html @Mstrustme: It's all fake no matter what the hair type is or who wears it, so what's your point???? Next... Ok, My question was WHY IS IT SUCH A BIG DEAL WHEN A BLACK WOMAN WEARS WEAVE? It seems like only a few of you understood that..geez...I didn't ask who wears it the most and all that other crap. Why is it a problem when black women do it...the concept is the same thing wearing fake hair. So the fact that a non black woman wears it makes it completely different?? LMAO! @Mstrustme: Well, you were the 1st one to stray off into that point so there ya go sweetie...

Is it time we leave Britney alone? I'm in the sad position where I agree with Chris Crocker I’d like to state for the record first and foremost that I’m not particularly a fan of Mrs. Spears; I’ve never purchased any of her albums. Saw her in concert, or purchased any of her merchandise. But I do have to admit though that I have a bootleg copy of her new album because I like the remix she did with T.I. (And who doesn’t like T.I.? The man’s the king of the south!!) We should leave Britney alone because I can see we’re pushing this girl into committing suicide. I’m not talking career suicide, because… I mean come on, hasn’t that already happened? I’m talking about death, the long dirt nap, and her blood is going to be on the hands of all the people who suoort rag taboids, and support shows like ET, TMZ and it's many clones. What do you guys think?
Why is this the top story almost everywhere? Holy crap, I'm losing it...why is EVERYTHING Britney Spears does front page news on TV, local news, newspapers, news websites...I mean SERIOUSLY? It seems like EVERY news outlet has turned into a tabloid style TMZ news outfit. Are that many people REALLY interested in the train wreck that is Britney Spears? For the love of Pete, it is like watching a building burn to the ground! It is a damn shame that the war, the election (yawn), boy saves dog, dog saves boy and other more relevant stories are pushed to the back or forgotten. The woman has no talent, no brain, no parenting skills - what is the attraction? If anyone needs me I will be living in my new cave, sans all connection to any form of media with exception to my Zune...
Has Jamie Lynn Spears finally cracked or is she usually like this? I dont blame her for shouting that i would of probably said the same thing. But is she really supposed to be saying things like this- i mean, shes with Nickolodeon.. If your wondering what im talking about, just see the link in the buttom, its at the ending. http://www.tmz.com/2007/10/08/irate-woman-bitches-at-britney-sis-steps-in/
