Christian Music...have you notices many singers and bands repeat the same songs?

There doesn't seem to be a lot of originality out there with Christian music. I mean how many times will Christian artist remake "Our God is an Awesome God" and such?

1. yeah christian music sucks its all the same and thats why when people i know buy worship jamz, i burn it and piss out the flames.
2. Contemporary Christian Music is a creative wasteland. There's no quality or originality-and Christian or not, it's just bad music.
3. i disagree, there is a wide variety of christian music out there, gospel, rock, even rap christian music. mainstream music remakes A LOT of songs too, but if you never heard the original you may not realize it was a remake.
4. I haven't heard that much of it but it does all sound alike somehow.
5. Does God need music? But man does. A good song pleasing to man can be sung over and over again. Answer: This limitation is not limited to religious songs.
6. I like to hear songs turn different. Because I love when a song was good but someone makes it Rock Out! Or Turns it into A Hip Hop poem.
7. Christian music is always of very poor quality. The only reason that it can continue to exist is because so many youth group leaders tell their followers to listen exclusively to Christian music to avoid the negative influence of "secular" music. Think of the best Christian band you have ever heard, now compare it to the best nonchristian one, which is better? Unless you just really like Christian music it will always be the nonchristian one because in order to survive without the compulsive, built-in audience that Christian bands have nonchristian bands have to make money from being sounding good.
8. You're kidding, right? Go to BMI or ASCAP's websites and see how many remakes there have been of some secular songs. Originality is in the eye of the beholder. Look at how similar the so-called "artists" are. All the popular girls look and act the same. All the popular guys are that "Daughtry-like" style. At least most of the Christian artists' lyrics are about something more substantial than sexual love, partying or shameless, narcissistic self-promotion.
