Is classical music more popular than pop music?

Is classical music more popular than pop music or is pop music more popular than classical music? Why?

2. Pop music is far more popular currently. This is because the vast majority of the population (at least in the U.S.) does not have an adequate education on the complexity of music and therefore is attracted to simple repeated melodies with lyrics they can relate to over intricate and subtle art made of sound.
3. No Classical is not popular than pop. Hardly some people know what is rag and types of rags .
4. I believe that pop music is more popular than classical music becuse pop music is widely accepted and choosen amongest teens and young adults. Classical music, on the other hand, has a limited audeince-people over fourty years of age.
