Where can I go to get Korean music CDs?
I live in Bergen County, NJ, and want to know what's a good store in the NY/NJ area to get K-pop albums. I know where to get them online, but I'd rather not deal with shipping... There are a couple of Korean Supermarkets nearby (Hanareum and Hanyang) and while they USED to have a good selection of music CDs the pickings there are really slim now.

- Best Buy (I believe there's a store in Princeton, NJ) has in-store delivery. You order it online and it's sent directly to the store. However, my experience with import CDs there is that they're VERY expensive. Shinhwa and BoA are both available through the website, but because they're imports, they're $40+! It's really worth paying the shipping to get them used through eBay or Half.com. Sometimes you can get good deals there if you're patient. Also, I rented the soundtrack to 내 이름은 김삼순 through TigerCinema.com and just added it to my iPod. Don't forget that if you're in NYC, they have a pretty decent selection of Korean media in Koreatown. Good luck.
- Do a search for Korean supermarkets in your area. Once you find that. you'll be able to find Korean video stores which will most likely have the most current CDs as well.
- I would suggest that you try a Korean Import Food Store in your location. For the most part, the Korean people owning and operating the stores are very helpful towards people wanting "things Korean." If they don't have what you're looking for, then ask them if they can obtain this type item for you. For the most part, the store owners would be able to obtain what type music you're looking for. Korean people are industrious for the most part; helping you get what you want generates business for their store.
