Who else likes these cool J-pop artists?

The first j-pop group I ever really got into was the Pizzicato Five in the mid '90's, I even saw them perform live once in Los Angeles. But I did not really turn on to J-pop until a few years ago while living in China and seeing Japanese R&B/Dance divas like Utada Hikaru and Namie Amuro on the music video shows. I actually listen mostly to Chinese pop, but in the past couple of years I've continued to delve into J-pop and artists like these: m-flo Chemistry Heartsdales Mink Dragon Ash Ken Hirai (his recent video for POP STAR is hysterical) Monkey Majik (lead singer is American) Who are your favorites? If you've never heard of these artists I urge you to check them out, and www.YourTube.com is a great place to start. Well, the Anime soundtrack groups in Japan are not exactly from the top tier of Japanese pop. Japan is second only to the U.S. music market in terms of sales, and the artists that I have mentioned are popular all over Asia, but virtually unknown in the U.S. Think about it, how many U.S. pop artists allow their music to be used in Saturday morning cartoons? Spidey, you're really funny, but your answer is off the topic. My question is for those, like me, who are into J-pop. I would like to know what bands/artists they appreciate.

Lately I've been listening to Orange Range a lot as well as the Pillows. I think I heard an m-flo song somewhere, if I'm thinking of the right group that is :) I'll have to check out the ones you listed too. Thanks for the info, I'm always looking for new Japanese music! Have you ever tried out Gendou's Anime Music? It has some good downloads. Usually from anime shows and movies but you might be able to find some of these artists there as well.

m-flo's cool but I haven't heard of the others before. I'll check them out sometime. Ha youtube rocks....I spend like all day on that website....even right now!
