What are three things you look for when choosing your favorite music artist?

1. -Good melodies -Good lyrics -Good performance
2. if its ur favorite i dont think u need to look for it. u just know it. if u can listen to their songs when u feel happy, shitty, pissed, calm, or whatever then they must be ur favorite artist.
3. For me I am simple I choose music that makes me feel good. The artist and the producer put together a sound that just feels good when you hear it . Not very elaborate , but true. If you don't believe me just as the Beatles. They out sold even the Rolling stones , and the Stones stayed together as a band much longer.
4. I like a good performance, words that mean something to me.
5. --Artistic integrity - I can't stand an artist who really isn't an artist. I get annoyed when I see an "artist" who's so called art is only a replica of what they saw someone else do. --Passion - I love it when you're at a live show and their (the artist) passion for what they do is practically melting off of them and onto you --Beautiful lyrics and melody/music that accentuates them and brings them to life creating all kinds of images in my mind - a certain type of atmosphere. A lot of the older bands were good at mastering this. A lot of newer band disappoint me these days...however there are still some goods ones out there that appeal to me.
