Looking for ideas about a Halloween Costume of Britney Spears from her 2001 VMA performance??

My friend and I are going to be Britney Spears, before and after K. Fed. I am looking for ideas for my costume of her from her 2001 VMA performance , where she dances with the Albino snake. I saw pics of someone who had a green top just like she wore in the performance, but I have no idea if I could buy it, let alone make it!! Same thing with the bottom she wore. Please, any tips or info would be a great help!!

I would get denim short and cut then SHORT....I would pair them up to a bathing suit bottom and cut from those as a guidline.
