Can someone describe political influence of Dutch pop music?

I want to know how the world's political condition influence the Dutch music scene. For example the Vietnam War, how does the war shaped the music of the coming generation? thanks... it's for a school paper, so please be thourough.

1. I can't think of any influence that Dutch pop music has had. Give me some band names that you believe may have had some influence. I may not realize they are Dutch.
