Why israelian pop music is always copying music of Turkey and Greece ? And why do they do it so bad ?
I noticed that many israelian singers try to compose songs with turkish and greek inspirations, and they are very bad at it... I mean that they do it in a really boring way, with too much buzuki, and always the same melodies. For Israelis citizens : I'm sorry for my awkward question, I didn't wanted to hurt anyone. I just wonder why Ottoman music is sometimes used by other countries...

- yes you are right there are many songs that are similar in Greek, Turkish and other Mediterranean languages! sometimes I dont know which is the original one! :) but it happens all the time I really dont mind, we all copy each other! and if there is a Turkish or Arabic or whatever song that it is nice, I would like to hear it in Greek too and vice versa! music is to unite people! just enjoy those songs!
- Because Israel is a mediterranean country now
- does it matter that they copy or just sound like us - who cares?? I sure don't - If I like it I will listen and if I don't like it I won't - I do have a question for you however! copying from the OTTOMAN???? wow! still living in the old days???
- I think they are giving it their best effort but simply trying too hard to emulate Kazanztidis, Mouskouri, Dalaras and I apologize for not knowing any Turkish musicians. Perhaps a closer cooperation with Arabs who live in Israel could produce better results. An earthquake improved friendship between Greece and Turkey.
- Israelis copy us are interest in the Greeks and Turkish songs especially now they see a hate to hate situation turns to love to love can you believe that?
