How does Asian music still implement elements of their own culture into pop music?
I'm doing a research paper on how even though much of American culture has spread to Asia in the form of pop music, they still put their own twist on it and use parts of their own culture as well, so if anyone has any examples or any resources it would be very appreciated :)

- They just put in stuff that reminds them of their society.
- Actually, I am not sure how much Asians themselves have taken a part into implementing their culture into pop however, they certainly have been recognized by other cultures! In Hip Hop, the producer Timbaland and also RZA (from wu-tang clan) used many elements of Asian music and folklore within their melodies! Bobby Valentino, an R&B singer has this song called Tell Me that samples a song from an Asian movie that came out a few yrs ago. Also, RZA has used many samples from Bruce Lee and other Asian action movies so its there. Also, there is Jin he is a Chinese rapper you should look up info about him and the other Asians in the music industry. Not sure if she counts but Cassie (Philipino, Mexican and West Indian) and Nicole Scherzinger (part Philipino) plus Jhene Aiko (Japanese, Black, Indian) are all pop singers of some Asian descent. The idol contestant, Ramiele Malubay is also of Asian heritage. Look up info on those individuals, hope this has helped!
- the jazz group Hiroshima takes American jazz and puts Asian instruments and traditional Japanese music into it, I love that group.
