What is the general conensus of Britney Spears?

What is the general consensus of Britney Spears? I mean, do some people write her off/count her out because of her colossal meltdown just last year? Is she completely worthless garbage today? or no?

1. bottom line: if she wasn't attractive, not one would care.... she's an "entertainer" and people fantasize about her. she isn't a singer...and she's a horrible role model...
2. She's an entertainer - even at her worst, the dumb stuff she was doing on a daily basis was still news. When I was younger (like 9 or so) I used to think she was really cool... But then she started doing a lot of dumb crap... So I stopped liking her so much. My tastes in music also changed from mainstream pop to metal and numetal, so she was totally out in that sense, too. Personally, I feel sorry for her. Sure, I envy her bank account, but not her family life, drug problems and failed relationships. I hope she continues to pull herself together for the kid's sake.
