How can I find a music artist whose song is played during the movie,but isnt mentioned in the movie credits ?

There's this old, underground movie from the early eighties with a song playing during a particular scene (the song is playing on the car radio). The movie makes no mention of the artist or song.I would like to know the name of the artist and a way I can get a copy of the song ? I'm interested in sampling it.

1. First off, you would ask the question about the specific movie in a forum like Y!A and hope that someone saw that film, too. Yes, it's good to sample, but only if you get the rights to do so.
2. Usually, if you go through the credits VERY carefully, they will list ALL music AND also the songwriter must be given credit, too. Unless this movie was done at home, or something like that, they LEGALLY have to list all songs and the songwriter.
3. occasionally, if a song is part of the score, it's not listed in the end credits. this is especially true if it's background in a scene. (case in point, there's a really great song in the gas station scene of "reality bites" that's not in the credits.) i would look in the credits for who scored the film and see if you can figure it out that way. or maybe if you tell us the name of the film or some of the lyrics we can help you.
